About the show
The Book of Mormon follows two eager young Mormon missionaries as they are sent to a remote part of Uganda, expecting easy conversions but instead finding themselves amidst far more complex challenges.
The Book of Mormon was created by Trey Parker, Matt Stone and Robert Lopez, and premiered on Broadway in 2011.
The show is known for its razor-sharp satire of religious belief and missionary culture, big-budget musical numbers, high production values and an overall tone that blends outrageous humour with genuine heart. It has won many awards including multiple Tony Awards (Best Musical among them) and Olivier Awards for Best New Musical.
