Stranger Things: The First Shadow brings audiences to 1959 in the small town of Hawkins, Indiana, where a young Jim Hopper Jr., Joyce Maldonado and their friends are dealing with everyday problems until newcomer Henry Creel arrives and everything changes. This UK production deploys intense visuals, live effects, sound, smoke, flashing lights and a sense of dread drawn from the familiar world of the TV show, all within a stage experience.

The show is written by Kate Trefry with a story conceived by the Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer (creators of the TV series) and Jack Thorne. It made its world premiere at the Phoenix Theatre in London in late 2023.
